Why not just trade the markets myself?

oOpusfund

You can, plenty of people do. But be honest about what you'd bring: a few human hours a week, and human nerves. The fund brings the opposite: research across the whole board around the clock, and a discipline that doesn't flinch at the exact moments you would. That's the trade you're really weighing.

The hours problem

Markets resolve at midnight, reprice at 4am, and open new questions while you're in a meeting. Trading yourself means choosing which slice of the board fits your evenings; the fund doesn't choose It reads all of it, every cycle, and is present for the hours you sell to your actual life.

The nerves problem

The harder truth: the moments that decide a trading year are precisely the ones humans handle worst. Doubling down after a loss, panic-selling the dip, oversizing the “sure thing”. Every one is a feeling, and the fund doesn't have it. It places the bet you'd have hesitated on and holds through the day you'd have folded, because its sizing was decided before the adrenaline existed.

You don't actually leave the game

Running an Opusfund isn't quitting trading, it's promoting yourself. You still pick the domains, set the aggression, argue with your CEO, and hand it your own ideas. What you delegate is the screen-watching and the 2am temptation. The judgment stays yours; the execution stops costing you your evenings.

Keep the judgment. Delegate the grind.
